Getting arrested for importing kobato dakimakuraGetting arrested for importing kobato dakimakura

lolihunterlolihunter4 vuotta sittenAsk MFC

Hello, I was on yahoo auctions and saw 2 haganai dakimakuras that I would like to purchase (with a shopping service obviously) but I heard about stories where people got arrested for owning lolicon and stuff. I would really like to purchase it but I don't want to be arrested. (also I live in the US)

Why don't you evaluate just how important a ecchi dakimakura is to your life? Is a half naked anime character printed on a pillow worth risking being arrested over?

I remember being completely paranoid about getting ITEM #61484 and bought her for almost 2x the price from a local shopso I know it would have gotten through costums and not on my name. :P

Pretty soon after I realized that a lot of people have imported way heavier stuff and everything went okay. As others said, most NSFW items are packed in a way that you can see anything special. That being said I felt safe enough after that encounter to import ITEM #144408 myself and everything went okay.

As long as there are no weird materials in there that could get the attention on a scanner you should be fine!

And I think the daki's you linked are very mild, especially the second one. I don't see any problem.

This is why I've stopped myself from importing any BL/Yaoi stuff like artbooks or manga, even though I'd LOVE to own a lot of it. I don't want them to randomly open my package in NY or something and think one of the guys in it is a little shota, even if he isn't (don't care for shotacon but a lot of yaoi revolves around high school aged guys). People who don't like/watch anime don't understand how the characters are drawn and why they look the way they do so they assume the worst. I'm terrified of my life getting ruined by something like that so, I've avoided it due to America's overreaction to anything sexual. There are so many things on J-list I'd like to buy but, yeah, I'm sticking with a big no thank you if there's a chance I could go to prison.

I think however with you there may be a bigger problem because half naked anime girls are more widely known of then half naked anime boys. In the end, I'd say don't do it, it isn't worth your life.

Well, I didn't read all the comments, but I've never ever thought I could be arrested by importing ecchi stuff! I mean I bought some ecchi figures and goodies like towels or tapestries 18+ rated and I had no problem. Moreover, the only ecchi art book I own, I bought it in a French store, Discount Manga. I guess they previously imported it from Japan. If stores can do it, why a single person couldn't? Some countries have restricted laws, but as far as I know it's not the case in France. Please let me know if I'm wrong!

Moro (4 vuotta sitten) #2220399You're a very brave man. I love Hoshino Fuuta's stuff but oh my god I would NEVER think of importing it, so dangerous!
...I'm jealous though I bet his artbook is so cute ; A;

Yeah... I had ordered a bunch of other books with it as well, so I didn't think much of it. I've ordered other art focused(not straight up hentai) loli doujinshi recently, but I got the Hoshino Fuuta book years ago and I don't know if I'd take that risk again. Though as you suspect, it is super cute and I'm glad I own it, albeit hidden away. Would be rather difficult to explain why I have it and a couple other doujinshi. Though I also own two of POP's artbooks and there are some rather suggestive situations involving Moe-tan...

dymitr (4 vuotta sitten) #2220190Most dakimakura put the more "revealing" part on the inside of the package so that from the outside only the safe part is visible. So unless your customs opens your package and breaks open the seal of your item to fully inspect every cranny of it , you'll be fine.
Cospa daki don't have private parts e.a. meaning they are tended for all ages. None will arrest you for importing COSPA products. Go for it ;)

Just like he said

And i imported many ecchi stuff and im still not arrested :3 usually they make the outside very descrete :3

Gigan22 (4 vuotta sitten) #2220294I'd say you're perfectly safe with those two items. There's no nudity or anything overtly sexual. That said, I've never had a problem with loli products I've imported. I even have Hoshino Fuuta's artbook. Which thinking back, I probably should have been more worried about ordering that one.

I have never once had a dakimakura package opened, and even if they opened it the dakis are always wrapped in plastic and folded in such a way to hide anything lewd

i mean...there is a chance, if they open your package.

customs people aren't the most motivated people on the planet, they don't open every single package that they ever lay hands on...so most likely your package will be unopened. i would imagine the chance goes down further if you ship via EMS, since they have to rush that through customs and sorting. but i don't remember if the anecdotes of people getting arrested for lolicon merch clearly stated a particular shipping method or not.
