How to make a miniature bookshelfHow to make a miniature bookshelf

Well as voted in my last tutorial: BLOG #22161
Here is 'How to make a book shelf' :)

You will need...
- Balsa wood sheets
- Ruler (preferably metal)
- Stanley Knife
- Marker/Pen/Pencil
- Glue (I use superglue)
- Figure for scale

Firstly this is Balsa wood, it is light and easy to cut!
You can find it in most craft and hardware stores!

1. Get your sheet of Balsa and cut it into a backing, two sides pieces, a top and a bottom.
I used my Sawako as my scale to refer to as she is a pretty normal shaped figure.

Tip: Instead of cutting each piece out individually and trying to make them the same size, cut out one big part then cut the pieces off side :)

2. Then you will want to get all your pieces and glue them together!

3. Decide how many shelves you want and mark out where you want to put them, then one by one glue them in!

Then you should have your little bookcase if my explanation was not as terrible as I think it is!!

Tip: You can Paint it or stain it if you want a different colour :)

You can make a little cupboard/wardrobe sort of thing a similar way, just put in one shelf in at the top then I glued staples along the bottom to act as hooks :)

I've made balsa wood bookshelves for my figma in the past, but never thought about doing the staple hooks. That's perfect and adorable. Great tutorial!
