On the 28th of october I wrote the GSC customer support an email. My Umaru-Nendoroid had some issues. The colours from the parts were so different and one of the pins broke off when I took of the front part with the hair.

They wanted to know where I got it (I said it in my first email XD) and when. I wrote that I got it from BiJ and that I pre-ordered it in April. But I also said in the first email that I received it in October.

Now they are saying
"We regret to inform that your item has past time when you got the item. We hardly accept your item has initial failure."
I am just like why?! O_O I mentioned that I received it in October and that I opened it on the 28th... and I give them the invoice I got from BiJ.

(At first they also got my problem wrong and wanted to have a picture from the whole on the other part... and in the last email they wrote my name wrong >_<)

This experience is so different from those I had before. :/

EDIT: Yay. They give in. >7<

I used to work directly with the public. Customer's experience could range from bittersome to extraordinary depending who got their complains. Some people aren't made to deal with other over such issues.

I have similar problems with my nendo umaru. GSC rejected it as well. I had asked for replacement for broken or defected items from them. And this is one of few they rejected. Most of those rejected are recent purchases. Maybe a drop in quality from GSC?

For sure, their customer service is worse than ever now. In terms of getting replacements at least.

I cut down on nendo purchases anyway. Been disappointed on last few releases. Much poorer QC.

In the end they sent me another cloak. It's a cast-off so they could just send a single cloak without the figure. The package actually arrived yesterday and it's undamaged so I'm really happy.^^

From the comments I've hear, GSC's customer support has always been what it's supposed to be -- very supportive xD I never knew they could be petty like this too. Good thing they gave in! :D

Broetchen (3 vuotta sitten) #4620906I actually had a similar experience with GSC recently. I never contacted them before since I never had any issues but when I received my Ren figure ITEM #163750 a piece of his cape on the back was broken off.
It was already lying loose in the box when I opened him. He also happened to be my most expensive figure so I wrote to GSC for a replacement cloak. It took over half a month of writing mails untill they deceided to help me. I bought him from a german shop and they made me ask the owner where he got his stock otherwise they couldn't help me because it might be a pre-owned item. (Even though I pre-ordered and paid for him months before his release and sent them my paypal invoice.)
I'm happy they helped me in the end but it took so long and every time I answered their questions they would just ask something else. I nearly gave up replying...

I sent them a mail a couple of days ago, they asked for pictures and replied in a couple of hours saying they're sorry and they'll be sending a replacement right away...

Even tho I didn't buy it directly from them.

Problem with that tho, is if they put a value on it I'll have to pay a massive amount of custom fees for it >.>

Might've been a new worker.

It's a bit strange how they reacted. Even to my 'old' figure/nendo complaints they reacted really nice and did their best to help out.
They never tried to 'ignore' or shove it aside because of how 'old' it was (it wasn't old but it was like a year or so after I got it that I mailed them).

Idk I feel weird that they answered in that way O.O
