Whats the chances of finding a single can badge from a set?Whats the chances of finding a single can badge from a set?

Hi, this is a question for all the character goods collectors out there!

I don't usually branch away from figures much except for manga, but recently I've kinda been getting into can badges and buttons. What's the chances of me finding single can badges from a set in the aftermarket?
I know group split orders exist but I don't think I'd be able to find enough people for one in Chile. Where do you usually go to buy single can badges?

For those curious, I just want Taiga and Kuroko from this set

www.amiami.com/...

And only Aomine from this one:

Thanks.

Chilean here. Usually I join splits located in Asia or Europe, since shipping is cheaper. I also try to join multiple splits from the same user, to save on shipping.

If I fail to join a split, or, there wasn't one for the set I wanted, my best chance is Surugaya or Otamart through a proxy. In some particular cases, I just go ahead and buy the full set; if the character I want is too popular, sometimes getting one single badge is more expensive than buying the full box. I try to get rid later of the leftovers, even if it doesn´t always work.

IntoOpenWaters (1 kuukautta sitten) #48900523I'll go ahead and mention that Goods Republic (goodsrepublic.c...) sells a lot of individual can badges, but they are frequently pretty expensive. Often they have things that are difficult to find, however, and occasionally I've found certain items to have really good prices comparatively.

I am going to go ahead and second Goods Republic. I have used their service for straps, and even a tapestry. However, I will mention that their prices can be much more expensive depending on the popularity of the character or show. As well if the items were limited/exclusive release. I have paid maybe 3x as much per strap but it was difficult to find things elsewhere or I missed the pre-order time by a couple of months. So take some time to search around. Good luck finding the straps!

I've used sites like Yahoo Auctions, Surugaya and Otamart to get single badges and straps.

I would say Surugaya is the best as you can order the items yourself and have it forwarded which can be really cheap if your buying a fair amount of items. I normally use JPN Depot which is 200¥ per parcel.

Otamart is a pain because of the rules each seller sets. Like you have to take two items in order to get the one you want, then sometimes they don't even reply to you. But it is a good place to find really rare stuff. I usually use From Japan to order from there.

Yahoo Auctions is okay, the best place I know to use to bid on items is Zenmarket. It's only 300¥ per auction which can seem worth it if you really want it but not worth if it's a common item to find. Their buy for me services are 300¥ per item which to me isn't worth it unless I'm only ordering figures (you can order 5 straps from Suru using zenmarket and it'll be 1500¥ proxy fee. Order 2 scale figures and it'll be 600¥. Some orders are not worth it while others are).

To me the best place will always be surugaya. If you find the item and it's not in stock you can also set up alerts which is what I do for a lot stuff I want.

tundras (1 kuukautta sitten) #48897486You can try proxying it if it pops up on second-hand websites. Ones that I frequent include: The only issue is that it's basically another 300 yen minimum per item (unless you find everything you want in one listing) to pay the middleman for their service. This would probably be your last resort if the things you want become scarce.

I'mma tack onto some of these (as i use these a lot as well and can also vouch for them.)

There's also: Rakuten, Mandarake, and Jungle that might have them

But yeah can badges are pretty easy to get separately unless its like super rare or something.

If you're willing to branch out and use sites like Surugaya, YAJ, Otamart and Mercari with a proxy then you'll almost definitely find it. It can be a pain sometimes though, I'm still looking for one particular item without buying the whole set. Having patience is going to be your best friend but you'll come across it.

ebay or asking people here on mfc is probably your best bet, but also this store global.rakuten.... would have a good chance. they sell things like that individually once theyre released

The Group Orders Club is great if you are willing to ship internationally! If there are leftovers though, it may take some time to sell them on MFC, or you could list them on auction sites like eBay.
