Help with moving figures abroad!Help with moving figures abroad!

Hi!

I will be moving from the UK to Singapore in a few months' time. I will be in Singapore permanently so I will need to move all my figures with me. I have nearly 40 nendoroids and funko pops, all in their respective boxes. Does anybody have any advice, or recommendations for moving companies?

Thanks! :D

I am interested to know how much this costs for either EMS which is air and fast vs boat freight

I have 40 large figures that have to go from USA to an Asia country as well and wondering about cost. For boat freight I expect they will want us to put in on top of a wood pallet and weight is not counted compared to air.

One tip, especially when sending stuff by ship, pack each item individually or you may end up with scratch marks on the corners of CDs for example, due to the ships vibrations.

Yes, actually I am a Singaporean myself too and will be moving back home. I will look into EMS/DHL! Thank you :)

Nice, guess I'll have to say welcome home then! "Sings home by Kit Chan"

edit: Oh, you have yours in your boxes already and I think I misremembered stuff about shipping being in there that isn't. Whoops! Hopefully someone finds it useful. Anyway, I can't recommend a company, but measure how much space the boxes take up and if they can go with other effects, it might end up cheaper to send it in a rented boat container. There WAS an article talking about that on here but I can't find it ><

Eijiakoey (7 päivää sitten) #54232909Do you know anybody who lives there? If you do, maybe you could pack them into a big box and ship it to them first. As a Singaporean I would recommend using EMS or DHL, both is good. Haven't had any issue with their services or packaging. Price wise is rather decent, normally I would choose EMS. Cause most of the time it's cheaper than DHL.

Interesting topic! I'm scheduled to move away from my apartment in about a year and half, and I am already dreading all the logistical nightmares that come with moving.

How should you pack your figures?
Should you ask a specialized company in that field for help?
Maybe I should sell some my stuff and travel lighter?
What is the maximum amount of figures to travel with?
