First I would like to apologize for the lateness of this review. I was on a vacation and unable to be at home when this figure was released. Also I need to apologize for not having the Figma swimsuit version of Megumin yet as well...as I was on that aforementioned vacation, I was unable to attend any convention where she was available...so that review will have to wait until December, when the GSC Shop version is released. Sorry about all that!

From the "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! / Kono Suba" anime, this is Figma Kazuma (with bonus):

Each photo can be clicked on to give a full-size view of the image, even if the image itself doesn't display.

Here's him in the box:

As #425 in the Figma figure series, Kazuma is one of the latest in the ever-growing and increasingly popular Figma figure series! I have already reviewed Figma Aqua as well as Figma Megumin as well (as mentioned at the start, the swimsuit version of Megumin will wait until December).

Like all Figma's, Kazuma comes in the new, much smaller standardized box. He's got most of his parts displayed in the window as well as the figure itself. It also has all of the normal information on it, like the series logo (in the top left corner), Good Smile Company (GSC)'s logo (top right corner), and of course the figure's name, number and image on the bottom.

There is also a GSC bonus with this release; which I will cover in more detail at the end of the review.

Back of the box:

Kazuma is the main male character of the anime, "Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o!"; which is often abbreviated as "Kono Suba".

Just like the front of the box, the back has all of the usual information, logos and images that have become standard to Figma figures recently. The background for Kazuma's box is all black with some of his alternate parts and accessories shown in use.

He comes with a fair number of parts; so most of his poses and accessories are shown here on the back of the box (or on the sides).

Keeping up the standard (as it is now) of Figma (and Nendoroid) figures; Kazuma's instructions are in both English and Japanese. The English is on one side, and the Japanese is on the other. It is the same on both sides, otherwise.

The instructions show all of his parts, including the standard how to change the face parts directions and how to brace the figure on the stand directions.

There are a few special parts with Kazuma that are featured in the instructions, which are his "Create Water" effect, Megumin's panties, Kazuma's sword and cape.

Kazuma comes with a good number of parts; both for his body and accesories. Here's the list:

View spoilerHide spoiler-- Kazuma himself
-- Standard Figma base with stand
-- Extra joint part
-- 3 sets of alternate hands (curled fingers hands, grabbing hands, open hands, closed fists; both left and right)
-- 1 "Create Water" hand (right hand only)
-- 2 alternate faces
-- "Create Water" effect
-- Sword
-- Cape
-- Megumin's panties
-- Instructions

Also there is one more part, but it's not included in the plastic inner core. Instead this one is actually only available if you ordered the figure directly from Good Smile Company (during the pre-order period). This extra part will be covered in more detail at the end of the review.

Out of the box:

Kazuma comes ready to go out of the box once his protective plastic pieces have been taken off. He comes with his normal, slightly smiling expression in place as well as closed fists. He is also wearing his normal outfit he always wears in the anime.

As with all Figma's; the arms, hands, and legs are interchangeable and very easy to swap out with other arms, hands and legs. The same holds true for the face and the base as well.

Kazuma's base attaches like a normal Figma base with a jointed peg; but this time it plugs into the bottom hole. There are two holes on the figure; the top one is only for the cape. Also, unlike some Figma figures, the cape does not have a hole in it; the base stand only plugs into Kazuma's back in the lower hole.

With cape:

Someone complained in my last review that I do really a really bad job with posing my Figma figures for reviews; so I hope the photos in this review will be better. I apologize if they are not good enough still in advance.

The cape simply plugs into his back with the aforementioned top peg hole. It is very easy and simple to put in, unlike Figma Megumin's.

The only odd thing about the cape is that it is made of 3 separate pieces. It's not bad...but does make it difficult to keep the flow/shape of the cape as one smooth line. This is especially true in the front, where the edge lines of the cape almost always do not line up (this is even shown in photos on the box itself). However, with some work, the lines can be lined up...but only for certain cape poses.

With sword:

Kazuma's sword, named Chunchunmaru (by Megumin) is one of the accessories with this figure. It is able to be handheld in either one of the grabbing hands; or put away in the sheath on his waist. The sheath is on a ball-joint, so it moves around in any direction and holds its position well.

Create Water effect/angry face:

Another one of the parts with Kazuma is his signature move, "Create Water", effect. It is used in conjuction with a specific hand with a peg coming out of the palm, which plugs into the effect. It also is contoured to the shape of the hand, so fits best in only one way.

Also one of the alternate faces for Kazuma is his angry/raging expression. This is used sometimes when he creates water, but not every time.

Creep expression:

The next accessory with Kazuma is his face when he is being a creep or seriously perverted. He uses this a lot when teasing the girls or trying to get their panties (or after he got them).

This works well with the curled fingers hands, to give him the pose he often uses when teasing the various girls of the anime.

With Megumin:

Kazuma can interact with Megumin in a number of ways, but the most prominent one has to do with his last accessory: Megumin's panties.

The panties simply slide into the grabbing hands...but they don't really fit into it in one specific way. There is a slight gap between the fingers and palm on the grabbing hands that allows Kazuma to hold the panties, but the orientation of the panties doesn't matter at all in the hand.

With Aqua:

Of course Kazuma can interact with Aqua as well; best shown by him angrily chasing after her for doing who-knows-what to make him mad. Some more dynamic interaction pieces for Kazuma to use with her would have been nice to include (like the panties piece that he comes with for Megumin), but sadly there is no piece like that for Aqua.

Good Smile Company Bonus:

As mentioned earlier; the last item with Kazuma is the Good Smile Company bonus! It comes in a sealed black bag; similar to previous GSC exclusive bonuses in the past.

Taken out of the bag; it's easy to see what it is: An alternate face! This one is a happy expression with closed eyes and closed mouth.

GSC bonus in use:

The face is a pretty nice accessory. It gives him just a little more variety and works with most poses (such as a satisfied pose).

After the tragedy that was the Figma Megumin figure, it seems that GSC really went back to their old roots and did this figure with the kind of quality and care you would expect from a Figma figure! It doesn't have any of the problems that Megumin's release did; like the hunched back/neck, the sharp/pointy fingers that are hard to push in, or any of the quality issues with the parts!

The only real downsides to the figure is that the cape is a bit hard to keep with a nice looking flow to it, and the figure does seem to lack accessories (both Aqua and Megumin had more). Other than that, no problems at all!

Again, I apologize for no review for the swimsuit version of Megumin yet, but I will do it for sure in December (or when it is released by GSC). Now to wait for that, and the Figma Darkness figure to be released to complete the set (for now)!

Recommended! Lots of play value and display value with a bunch of options.

Thanks for looking! Feel free to comment and I hope you enjoy the review! Be sure to check out the other reviews here: users.v4.php?mo...

Okeno1 vuotta sitten#64987731Thanks for the review, but I'm surprised you didn't comment on the color of the knee joints. I heard about it but they are still kind of jarring and a pretty sloppy letdown by GSC.

Yeah, you're right. I didn't really pay attention to it much during the review, but looking back at it now; they are the wrong color. It is a letdown by GSC, I agree. I don't really think it's a deal-breaker for getting the figure though, since a lot of poses don't show the knee joint. But I do agree with what you said. Sorry for the oversight in my review. Thanks for pointing that out! ^^
