    A few years ago I moved with my grandma, and the first week she told me that she used bug spray in my books shelves (where I also display my figures) just for caution. I almost had a heart attack and asked her not to do it anymore. Luckily, I didn't notice damage on the figures, only in the wood of the shelf. And in that case I can only recommend water.

    In that case, I would use water to wash out any trace of the spray. At least a minute or so under a water stream. I think that cold water would be better than warm (in order to minimize any chemical reaction).

    In any case, please share what did you do and if your figure got any damage.

    Good luck!

    I used to have a pair of sunglasses with a mirror coating. At the end of a hot, bug heavy summer day, I noticed the mirror coating ran down in a very messy pattern, completely and permanently ruining the sunglasses. The bug spray was the culprit, of course. I don't know what the bug spray had apart from the famous deet, but it's definitely not gonna help a plastic figure with coats of fine paint.

    Definitely keep chemicals away from figures, even with my hate of bugs (specifically cockroaches, mosquitoes, and giant black butterflies witch moths) I would just wait it out until the invader left the area.

    dymitr (4 kuukautta sitten) #22309582I don't have experience spraying bugspray on figures, but I have sprayed bugspray on a painted cabinet before. It caused the paint to run out and left a clear mark on the cabinet.
    This happened almost instantly, so if you noticed no change in the paint (dryness/colour clarity) within minutes after you sprayed, you'll probably will be fine.
    If you want to be safe you could consider dunking your figure in a bath of water, just to make sure most of it came off.

    Thanks for the advice and sorry to hear about your cabinet. Thankfully her colors didn't start to run yet, so I quickly washed her in some cold water, so I hope that's alright. "^^ The spray also go on some of my figma bases so I'll guess I'll have to wash those in the morning ;~;
