I'll second what Rajke said that you painted Rin's eyes in the right place as far as I can tell, you seem to have a knack for capturing the expressions/little details very well to boot.
I'm glad her eyes look better than I thought :)
Thank you!

Wow! I've been reading your custom figure articles since the beginning and it's pretty amazing how much you've improved! I especially love the Nendoroid from this article, the eyes are very nicely painted! Have you ever considered taking commisions?
Thank you for reading my articles and for commenting :)
While I would love to take commissions, I don't think my skills are good enough yet.
Maybe one day, if I manage to improve more, but right now I'm not ready, sorry.

You did a nice job with these three figures. I love how your Rin Nendo turned out. Her eyes are nicely painted. Interesting that you mentioned that her eyes should be a little bit lower. I think you made the right choice to paint the eyes on this high. Rin has a small and long face and i think the higher placed eyes are complimenting that part of the figure. I wouldn't change that.
Lala is an interesting figure you made. The bending in her outfit and movement in her hair makes it a really lovely figure. I think it is a big compliment that the creator of the series retweeted your picture. Her expression is very cute.
The first impression of the third figure looks good. I am curious how she will turn out. You did choose a difficult clothing patern and i am looking forward to the result of that.
Thank you very much for the nice comment!
I initially also thought higher eyes would fit Rin better, but after putting her next to my official nendos (which all have lower eyes) I started to worry that it looked weird.
I'm relieved to hear her eyes look fine!:D

Yes, that what I do, but even after it's baked, I find sculpey to be more fragile than new fando (though maybe I just don't bake it well enough I guess)
Yes, sculpey can chip and crack, flake off for fine details :-/ Epoxy is the strongest

With sculpey I believe you cure it as you go along, not when you’re completely finished. Otherwise you’d smoosh everything >_<

I'm interested in decals so I'm looking forward to that tutorial :)!
An Anotsu nendo would look great!
I think New Fando is paper clay
In the begining it feels weird to use because the texture is so different from my usual material.
There is a lot more carving and sanding involved than with sculpey
I like how sturdy it becomes once it's dry, it makes handling and modifying the pieces much easier ^^

Haha I like following your progress, and I’m reading and see a shout-out to myself! XD I’m glad my blog helped you, I just got some blank water slide decals to make my own for eyes and details for some custom nendoroids. I’ll have to make another tutorial! You make me want to do an Anotsu nendoroid >_<
Thanks so much for posting these, I love to see someone continuing to try, and continuing to learn.
How do you like the new Fando clay and how does it compare to what you were using before? Is Fando a paper clay?
