Hi just joined and thanks for this club ^_^
I received some figures and one has had the base glued. I posted in looking after... But no reply and it doesn't seem very active so hope it's ok to ask here. I really hate the bases and prefer them to stand on their feet where possible so is a problem for me x_x
No idea what type of glue it's almost impossible to see, they certainly did a good job but I cant think of any other reason it would be stuck? I tried using a credit card but nothing happened except the card bent lol. Any ideas please,

Do you have a photobucket or flickr account you can link to?

Hello... I have added most of my collection to the site and have added a few figures that were not already in the database. The only figures I have left are the loose ones that I purchased because I thought the sculpt was nice. Some of these characters I don't recognize! What would be the best way to add photos of these figures so that other members can help me identify them?

    Thank you!

abiHi, I'm new in collecting figures, I just started some months ago and I wish I could get some help with a figure that arrived with some paint smudges (or I don't know exactly what it is). Where can I ask about this or post pictures of the problem for help?

FrozenSerpentI have a detolf from ikea with the cabinet light it came with. Although it does have the UV lens on it, it still gives off more heat than I like. I haven't turned it on since I bought it due to the possibility of distortion. I might just switch to an LED type lighting as well.
Do you need a UV lens on the LED light?

I was going to get a Detolf too but I don't like the design very much the second time I see it. Specifically, I don't like how you can only put one light bulb at the very top and have it casts shadow to all the figures below the first level. I much prefer separate light sources for individual shelves, that way I can adjust the angles and maybe color. Also, the corners seem a bit tacky to me. Yeah, I know I am OCD, hahaha.
And yes, I am still hunting for the perfect display case.
What do you guys/gals use for display cases beside from IKEA's Detolf?

GalaxyBoyLED lights are more expensive, but don't get really warm, so it won't warp PVC.

Awsome that's what I'll do then, thanks ^_^
