About this picture

I've had this idea in my head for years, I even bought this toy crane game over a year ago. Every time i've tried to shoot it previously it hasn't worked out but i think i like the results i got this time.

This is a mixture of strobes and LEDS taken with my fuji xt-2 on a 90mm f2 lens at f2 1/4 ss.

The light kept reflecting off the black background i had so i ended up just sticking a bin behind it and the dark void of the bin absorbed all the light and gave me a decent dark background, then i dangled some LEDS with wraped colour clingfilm around them.

duncecap2 kuukautta sitten#80513857the lights are cheap LED aquarium lights with coloured cling film wrapped around them. My friend was swinging them slightly from side to side to create the effect with a slow shutter speed.

Wow. That’s some serious creativity. <3

This is awesome. Very worthy of PotD. :)

Cantisama2 kuukautta sitten#80512778I legit had this same pic idea years ago, though was going to use ITEM #206941 with Nendo Araragi trying to win her. May even have that same toy crane game in my house ^^
Your photo came out great! I love this scene from the anime.

thank you, i have loads of yotsugi figs (and even tried a few others at the time) but this is probably in my top 5 figures. It's also one of the few where she fits in as she's sat down. I actually tried the figure you mention but she was too small and just looked like another toy rather than being the obvious subject of the photo. It's a shame as that is the canon outfit for the scene but oh well. I think i have about 4 photos of this figure in different sets now xD

Job on this one it deserves the photo of the day award! (Is that your PC lights by the way? Looks like they are from a PC case)

LadyDawn2 kuukautta sitten#80473837They say good things take time and your efforts certainly paid off. Beautiful lighting. I would like to know where the tiny plush animals came from as they are just adorable!
I think they're actually just little easter decorations i found in a local craft shop. Some of the bigger ones are from another set i grabbed from ebay.

chachachow2 kuukautta sitten#80473411I'm not sure that Yotsugi's gonna fit in the prize slot...(*´艸`*)
How large is the crane game though? It must be pretty large to fit a prize figure! It came with all the little stuffed animals as well? So darling!
I like the concept and execution; very appropriate for the character and some basic fixes gave you a great shot with superb lighting :)

Thank you. It's quite large, around 16 inches by 12. I had to take the top off to light it from above and removed the front and back plastic to get a clear photo.
